revisions:

This blog-post will serve as a reference of what I consider to be the ultimate diet.

I will update this article over time to always be inline with my best recommendation.

This diet is high in nutrition and low in calories which means it will be perfect for your health.

Introducing the Primal Food Pyramid

The calorie distribution on this diet is:

  • 75% meat & eggs
  • 10% muesli
  • 7% fruit
  • 5% dairy
  • 1% veg

Why is it a good diet?

It contains plenty of meat which is very nourishing.

It contains no sugar other than fresh fruit.

It contains no ultra-processed foods.

How to do this diet?

Here is your meal plan:

First Breakfast

  • 300kcal meat
  • 2 eggs
  • multivitamin tablet

Second Breakfast

  • 70g yoghurt
  • 45g muesli
  • berries

First Lunch

  • Large plate of meat

Second Lunch

  • fruit as desired

Dinner

  • meat as desired
  • low-starch vegetables as desired

Notes

food items

  • For your yoghurt option, plain Greek yoghurt is best. Does not need to be low fat but must be no added sugar.
  • Your muesli should be unsweetened nut&seed muesli. Dried fruit is pointless as it has less vitamins than fresh fruit while retaining the sugar which you don't want.
  • Never have any sugar other than fresh fruit

cooking meat

Meat is a lot nicer and more nutritious if you don't over-cook it. So get a meat-thermometer.

You don't meed sauces on your meat. I season as follows:

before cooking
apply salt and duck fat
after cooking
apply pepper and herbs

What meat you buy depends on your budget.

costs

These cost about £1.50 per 300kcal:

  • sausages
  • chicken
  • burgers
  • pork loin steaks

These cost about £3 per 300kcal:

  • salmon
  • steak

If doing this diet cheaply your daily cost breakdown might look like:

  • meat: £6
  • other £2

Then having more expensive meat once a week or so.

eating out / packing lunch

It's not a disaster to eat normal food occasionally. When eating out or making a packed lunch just try to follow these rules:

  • try to keep the calories equivalent
  • avoid unnecessary sugar
